The course is not appropriate for persons under the age of 16 years old. To get the most value from the course we recommend that participants have at least 2 years of driving experience, however we are happy to have persons without that experience attend.

Owen has nine years’ experience advising both corporate and individual clients on risk management, safety and security and resilience.
He has extensive experience in managing operational teams in varied environments; this includes high-risk services in the Middle Eastern oil and gas sector, as well as executive protection throughout Africa and Europe.
Owen is currently advises clients on security-related projects. He is also the security coordinator for Jozi Trails, an ambitious city-wide project designed to create a safe network of recreational trails throughout Johannesburg. Owen served for six years as a member of the United Kingdom’s Parachute Regiment, with several operational deployments.
Andrew Shaw has 12 years of experience working managing risk for corporate clients in Africa, China and Pakistan. He currently focuses on clients working in Africa on security and risk related issues.
Andrew grew up in rural KwaZulu-Natal, he read Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Stellenbosch University and thereafter completed a Law degree.
He is a member of Archology Society of South Africa, Criminology Society of South Africa, and the African Association of Risk Professionals. He also coordinates several community-based security projects in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg.

If you are unable the following cancellations policy shall apply:
- Cancellations from 0 to 24 hours prior to training session: 100% cancellation fee will be charged
- Cancellations from 24 to 72 hours prior to training session: 50% cancellation fee will be charged, plus any additional charges levied by suppliers up to date of cancellation.
- Cancellations 3 to 7 days prior to training session: 20% cancellation fee will be charged, plus any additional charges levied by suppliers up to date of cancellation.
